Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

justchathere is designed to collect as little as possible:

No accounts. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details. Your nickname exists only while you're connected.
Ephemeral messages. Each room keeps at most the 200 most recent messages in temporary server memory. When the last person leaves a room, its messages are permanently deleted. We do not archive chat logs.
No tracking profiles. We don't build profiles of visitors or follow you around the web.

What is collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our server briefly sees standard technical information needed to operate (such as your IP address) when you connect. We don't store or sell it.

Advertising & support

The site is ad-free and uses no advertising cookies. Visitors who want to help cover hosting can make a voluntary contribution through Stripe — that payment is processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card details. This page will be updated if that changes.

Children

justchathere is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
